Jan Fiedler, Karen Andall & Tass Morrison welcomed cyclists from near & far riding to raise funds for multiple sclerosis last Saturday at the Santiam Senior Center parking area. Way to go Rotary gang, looks like a lot of fun and what a great cause! 🙂
2018 Future First Citizens – Stayton High School and Regis High School
Stayton Area Rotary Club is happy and proud to sponsor the 2018 Future First Citizens representing Stayton High School and Regis High School. Two outstanding young people of our community, Noah Oliver a senior at SHS and Andrew Tabor a senior at Regis High School were honored during the Chamber Awards Luncheon on February 28.
Noah and Andrew through their actions and values have exemplified the values and goals of Rotary-fellowship, high ethical standards and “service above self”. In the case of each of these young people we acknowledge their commitment to their families, schools and greater community. Congratulations Andrew and Noah!!!!
Student Scholarships 2018 – Stayton Area Rotary
This year the Stayton Area Rotary was able to give out 5 scholarships for a total distribution of $6000; (2) for $1500 and (3) for $1000. Golden Leaf Education Foundation – Stayton Rotary
A big THANKS to Kilong Ung who shared his story and passion with us yesterday. Kilong was born in Cambodia, survived the killing fields, came to the U.S. and with many life successes founded the Golden Leaf Education Foundation. The foundation is responsible for (3) basketball courts, (5) schools and has served more 5,000 kids in Cambodia.
